Year in review:

Popular Meme of 2017, so why not make my own?

When I started this year, I had a few goals in mind: Get a job, finally finish Full Moon Chronicles Book 1 and start my social media presence.

Well, I did two of those things. I started this blog, got on most social media platforms and also I got a job. A few small ones and one with a salary. It was named Movie Tavern, or as my coworkers described it, a crash course to being a server. And it was insane. Insanely fun, in how exciting it was working with people I liked to talk to who liked to talk to me. But it was also insanely… insane. For me, being an introvert who keeps to herself and only gets tired out at small dinner functions, to serve dozens of strangers a week was a challenge to be sure. But I’m definitely happy I did it. I learned a lot, and grew as a person, learning how to roll with the punches and deal with whatever came.

About Me

My name is Rachel Atterholt. Apart from being a writer, I am also a Christian. This means that everything I do and write has a reason different than others. I believe that ‘all things work together for good’ even if I rarely know what that good is.

I am an INTJ-A, which is rare for females but quite common for villains which I admit to having mixed feelings on that part.

I have been writing for most of my life and  fantasy has been the focal point of my writing. I grew up reading The Hobbit and watching Lord of the Rings. Fantasy is a huge part of who I am and what I love.

To date, I have written six books, all in various editing stages, and a handful of short stories. Most of what I  have written has been a series called Full Moon Chronicles. This was the first book I ever started writing and it is close to my heart.

The reason I chose the name for my blog is because I incorporate the themes of moons, wolves and fire, or, more specifically, the four elements known in fantasy and magic.

I have a huge amount of fandoms that I majorly fangirl about. These include but are not limited to:
Tolkien, Beauty and The Beast, Supernatural, Sherlock Holmes, The X-Files, War Stories, Marvel, DC, Merlin, The Walking Dead, and Breaking Bad.

Fantasy are the stories I enjoy reading the most. A part from that, I also like Classical Literature, Poetry and Mythology, specifically Greek or Norse. I also love Arthurian Legends and Lore about monsters and mythical creatures.

I love trees and nature. If I could read in a forest for the rest of my life, I’d be a happy soul. I am rooted deep in life and take inspiration for my life from the forest.

I am kinda all over the place in terms of my writing and what I love and because my mind rarely works with me, I’ll probably be adding more to this. But, for now, this has been an introduction about me and what I love.
